What is a Sprung Floor?

A sprung (aka "floating") floor is how it sounds -- springy, but with a solid floor still there. Such floors are often used for dance halls, gyms and other places where lots of physical activity takes place. Here is more information for the curious:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprung_floor

The Grass Valley Elks Lodge ballroom reportedly has the oldest sprung floor west of the Mississippi, but it is still full of life (and tales to tell, no doubt)! The Lodge dates back to 1912.

We enjoy dancing on this historic floor, because it is kinder to your knees, feet, etc. Don't worry, you will not be catapulted into space, just launched into Contra Nirvana!
